An arid desert planet within the Milky Way which was used as a prison by the people of Trion. It was a volcanic planet, with a natural resource known as numismaton gas, which had healing properties. After the Trion revolution, the old ways were overthrown and the Imperial families considered political prisoners. Some were sent to Sarn, others were separated and sent to other planets. The Trion imperialist, Turlough, was banished to Earth but was taken to Sarn by the Doctor, where he discovered his long-lost younger brother Malkon. Eventually, the political prisoners were invited to return to Trion.
