psychic circus
A travelling circus of psychic acts, which had entertained people on many planets. Over the years, the Psychic Circus had been infiltrated by the Gods of Ragnarok, who existed in an alternate dimension, the Dark Circus, and who transformed many of the circus workers into their slaves. New acts were found and, if they entertained the Gods of Ragnarok, were allowed to go into service. If they failed, they died. The Doctor managed to destroy the gods' link with the real world, destroying the Dark Circus completely. With the gods gone, the survivors of the Psychic Circus decided to reform and continue working together.
