Creatures consisting of natural proteins that were brought together and solidified by a heavily disguised Master, using the mental power of the dark side of the Xeraphin on Earth. The Plasmatons surrounded the Doctor, transporting him to the Xeraphin citadel that existed on primordial Earth, while the crew of a Concorde aeroplane were menaced by a two-headed snake-like manifestation of a Plasmaton. Once the Master's hold over the Xeraphin was broken, the Plasmatons ceased to exist, the backlash destroying the Master's Plasmaton-based disguise, forcing him to reveal himself to the Doctor.
