Monocular mute reptiles, the inhabitants of a planet which had been destroyed by its own sun. They sought refuge on Earth but fell into slavery there. When Earth was similarly doomed, the Monoids joined the humans aboard their space ark headed for Refusis II. After a cold weakened the humans, the Monoids took over. Seven hundred years later, as they neared Refusis II, the now vocal Monoids treated the humans as the slaves. This culminated in a battle on Refusis II. The Refusians only allowed both races to settle on the proviso that they made peace.
