mogar
A planet within the Milky Way, in the Perseus Arm, not far from the Black Hole of Tartarus. It was a planet hostile to humans as it contained no oxygen in its atmosphere, necessitating a special breathing apparatus being worn. However, its natural metals, including the rare vionesium, made it popular with many Earth businesses, legitimate or otherwise. As a result, Mogar had been severely exploited by humanity. Pleasure Liners ran frequently between Mogar and Earth and Professor Sarah Lasky was able to develop her Vervoids on Mogar while staying there.
