mister sin

The Peking Homunculus was a toy presented to the children of the Icelandic Commissioner by Magnus Greel during the fifty-first century. The Homunculus, a cybernetic dwarf whose positronic brain was linked with the cerebral cortex of a pig, slaughtered the whole of the Commissioner's family. This triggered off World War Six, earning Greel the hatred of the entire planet. Greel was also experimenting with the zygma beam, and created a time cabinet, which took him back to ancient China. Disfigured by the zygma beam, and separated from the time cabinet, Greel adopted the role of Weng Chiang, the Chinese God of Abundance. He bestowed hypnotic powers upon a peasant, Li H'Sen Chang who travelled to England where the cabinet had been taken. He used the Peking Homunculus as a ventriloquist dummy in a stage magician's act, calling it Mr Sin. At night, Mr Sin would help Greel, but often killed just to satisfy its bloodlust. After Li H'Sen's death, Mr Sin and Greel, having recovered the time cabinet, attempted to escape until Mr Sin turned on Greel. When Greel died after attempting to escape in the cabinet, the Doctor smashed Mr Sin to pieces, stamping on the cortex and thereby destroying it.
