A planet in the Milky Way, to which the Doctor, Steven Taylor and SSS agent Sara Kingdom were accidentally transported from Earth in an experimental matter transporter, along with the Taranium Core. This device was sought by Mavic Chen and the Daleks to power their Time Destructor. Mira was inhabited by the invisible Visians, giant and hostile creatures, whose attack on the Doctor and companions was only averted by the arrival of the Daleks.
