Disgraced human neurosurgeon and member of the Cult of Morbius, the fanatical group dedicated to the treacherous Time Lord. He stole Morbius' brain moments before his body was destroyed and kept it alive, trying to build a suitable body for his master. When the Doctor arrived on Karn, Solon tried to use the Doctor's body, but with the help of the Sisterhood of Karn, the Doctor stopped him. Solon placed Morbius' brain inside a case atop a monstrous body built out of bits and pieces of other aliens, but died when the Doctor used cyanide gas to try and stop the surgeon bringing Morbius back to life.
