megara
A small collection of artificial energy pulses, built as logical justice machines and designed to be judge, jury and, if necessary, executioner all in one. Two Megara were assigned to a case, one for prosecution, one for defence. They operated on all the planets in the Tau Ceti system. Two were aboard the prison ship from which Cessair of Diplos escaped although the Megara eventually exiled Cessair to Earth, and transformed her into a stone. Meanwhile the Doctor sent the two Megara back to the now dead Diplos. It had been destroyed by the other Megara left behind, which had found the entire population in contempt of court and executed them.
