mandragora helix
The site of a sentient energy-being that existed at the furthest reaches of the cosmos. The energy-being used the position of stars around planets that it wanted to occupy as a power source. It was brought to fifteenth century Italy by the Doctor where it inhabited the Brethren of the Cult of Demnos, intending to take over Earth. The Doctor drained the Helix energy via copper wiring and so cast it back into the reaches of outer space. However, the Doctor noted that the stars would be realigned in the Mandragora Helix's favour towards the end of the twentieth century.
