malus
A psychic probe, possibly the spearhead to a planned invasion of Earth, from the planet Hakol. The Malus thrived off emotions like fear and hatred. It landed on Earth, in the English village of Little Hodcombe, during the seventeenth century, living off the strong emotions provided by the English Civil War. It then went to sleep beneath the local church. However, it was rediscovered more than three hundred years later by Tegan Jovanka's grandfather. The Malus forced the villagers to recreate English Civil War battles, and caused time rifts. The Doctor cut the Malus off from the villager's emotions by means of the TARDIS, and it destroyed both itself and the church.
