A Karfelon scientist the Doctor had once reported to Karfel's government for illegal experiments on the Morlox. After the Doctor had departed, an accident turned Magellan into a half Karfelon, half-Morlox and he adopted the persona of the Borad. When the Doctor returned to Karfel, Magellan had brought the planet to the verge of war with the Bandrils. He intended to allow his fellow Karfelons to be destroyed and then to repopulate the planet with other hybrid Morlox, using his skill with cloning techniques. Magellan eventually fell into the Timelash, and was sent to Inverness, Scotland, in the twelfth century.
