Manipulative organiser of the Scientific Reform Society. As Director of Think Tank, the Government-sponsored scientific research establishment, Miss Winters was able to abuse her position to procure dangerous materials and was not averse to murder. She misused Professor Kettlewell's robot, K1, and had Kettlewell reprogram it to obtain the destructor codes for nuclear missiles with which she planned to blackmail the world. The robot, confused by its programming, went berserk, killing Kettlewell and ensuring the countdown to armageddon continued, even after Miss Winters had been arrested by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart.
