Inhabitants of the planet Mondas, originally a planet in Earth's Solar System, which went on a large elliptical orbit. The humanoids on Mondas evolved far faster than those on Earth, quickly learning to replace their failing organs with plastic and metal ones. Eventually they replaced their brains with computers, eradicating any emotions and in turn, becoming conquerors. Their main intent was to turn all living organisms in the galaxy into Cybermen. They had the strength of ten men and could live in the airless vacuum of space. They could be destroyed by radiation and deflected by strong gravitational forces. Their organs could be smothered and destroyed by plastic dissolving solutions and gold dust, gold being non-corrosive. Mondas was destroyed when it attempted to absorb too much energy, but the Cybermen had settled on other planets, such as the Cryon homeworld, Telos. Others existed in vast spacefleets. They repeatedly attempted to colonise Earth over many centuries, their fleets ultimately being blown up by both by bombs and the Nemesis statue. The CyberWar was over once the humans developed the GlitterGun, using gold dust from Voga. The Cybermen were destroyed on Telos when the Cryons blew up their base. One of the last known Cyberships was obliterated by the Vogan Skystriker missile.
