A scientist assigned to planet S14, or Deva Loka, to study the life there and recommend whether or not it was suitable for colonisation. She discovered that the seemingly simple population, the Kinda, were in fact a highly telepathic race, living in fear of the evil Mara which thrived in the mind. When the Doctor and Todd managed to expel the Mara from Deva Loka, she announced that she would not be recommending the planet as suitable for a colony. The Doctor left her and her team behind on the planet while they awaited a rescue.
