regeneration of the 7th doctor
A small and fussy man in reasonably simple blazers and trousers, the Doctor's seventh incarnation was both quiter and far more manipulative than his predecessors. He would enter situations and observe what everyone else did before making his moves. He spent much of his time finishing or avoiding problems initiated by his earlier selves, often at the risk of upsetting his companions who initially saw this as uncaring or selfish, especially Ace. The Doctor remained at heart a great explorer and humanitarian. It was that innate curiosity and compassion which would eventually lead him to his next regeneration.
