The Time Lords, horrified to discover that the Matrix had been compromised, discovered that a group of Andromedans had gone into hibernation on Earth with the stolen secrets. Anxious not to let this transgression be known, the High Council ordered the destruction of Earth by moving the planet and a portion of its solar system across the universe, renaming the planet Ravolox. The High Council then arranged a second trial for the Doctor, shifting the blame for Earth's destruction onto him. After the High Council were exposed and overthrown, Earth and the surrounding space were returned to their rightful place.
