Inhabitants of the planet Minyos, to whom the Time Lords gave advanced technology. The Minyans, now using this advanced weaponry, waged war among themselves and destroyed Minyos. The survivors sent out the P7E, containing the Race Bank, to find a new planet, to be called Minyos II. The P7E never returned to the other Minyan survivors. Another ship, the R1C, went out to find it, using artificial regeneration devices to keep the crew alive. The P7E was located at the heart of a planet populated by underground dwellers, the descendants of the crew. The R1C returned to Minyos with the descendants and the Race Bank.
