A planet within the Milky Way, rich in vegetation, including the sentient Fungoid plants which devour anything they come across. The planet had been colonised by the Mechonoids, who built a tall metallic city atop the jungle. Within it, they kept the space pilot Steven Taylor a captive, until he was rescued by the Doctor as he was chased through time and space by the Daleks. The Daleks and Mechonoids battled for supremacy in the city, but both parties were destroyed when the city crumbled to the planet's surface.
