A German professor, specialising in extra-terrestrial endomorphines, working at the Bi-Al Foundation. He was responsible for sending basic clones of the Doctor and Leela into the Doctor's brain to try to combat the Nucleus of the Swarm. After being briefly infected, he helped the Nucleus enter the macroverse and travel to Titan where breeding tanks had been prepared. Marius also possessed a mobile computer, shaped like a dog, K9. The computer was unable to return to Earth with the recovered professor, so Marius asked the Doctor to become K9's new master.
