Planet made up of small zones surrounded by acid seas. The worldwide population was controlled by the Conscience of Marinus apart from the Voords, who sought to control it. Amongst the places the TARDIS crew visited on Marinus were: Arbitan's glass island where the Conscience was operated, the City of Morphoton, the snowy wastelands, the dense jungle of chemically augmented living plants and the city of Millenius. The Conscience was destroyed when Yartek, leader of the Voords tried to operate it with a fake key which caused it to explode, freeing the planet of any kind of control.
