A failed and embittered businessman who sought refuge at the Berkshire Buddhist retreat where he encountered one of the Eight-Legs from Metebelis III. Promising power over mankind, Lupton helped them try to recover the Blue Crystal required by the Great One. He was granted some of the Eight-Leg's power but ultimately they failed. On reaching Metebelis III they tried to hide this from the Queen, but they were discovered. When Lupton realised all his plans to rule Earth were in ruins, he turned on his new allies, and tried to stamp on them, but they destroyed him and ate his body.
