logopolitans
Inhabitants of the planet Logopolis, led by the Monitor, an old friend of the Doctor's who offered to help repair the TARDIS' chameleon circuit. The Logopolitans were humanoids who lived in a vast city, using their skills at manipulating pure mathematics to develop the science known as Block Transfer Computations. They spent their life muttering the constantly changing mathematics, which was beamed into the CVEs which kept the Universe alive. The Master killed some Logopolitans, disrupting the transmissions, which meant that one CVE began to close, spreading Entropy across the Universe. Logopolis was one of the first casualties and the entire species was wiped out.
