The Leader of the chosen survivors of Earth. They were hibernating aboard the revamped Nerva Beacon space station which was now a massive ark, carrying humanity into the stars. Bonded to meditech Vira, Lazar, also known as Noah, became infected by the Wirrn. He assumed command of them and became determined to use the sleeping humans as hosts for Wirrn eggs. Vira desperately tried to appeal to his rapidly diminishing humanity. At the last minute, Lazar led the Wirrn into a shuttle ship which he then blew up, sacrificing himself to ensure humanity's survival.
