A planet within the Milky Way. It was the home to the Didonians, a former war-like species who had matured into a peaceful, friendly race. A native reptile species, known as Sand Beasts also thrived on Dido. A spaceship from Earth to Astra crash-landed there. After an explosion during a welcoming party all but two of the humans were killed. The survivors were looked after by one calling itself Koquillion. However, this was in fact the murderer Bennett, who planted the bomb in the first place. Bennett was killed by two Didonian survivors. The other human, Vicki, left Dido to travel with the Doctor.
