deva loka
A planet within the Milky Way which was designated S14 and marked for possible colonisation. The military and scientific research group which arrived on Deva Loka quickly began to suffer a series of mishaps, as members just disappeared into the lush forests. The inhabitants were the Kinda, a highly advanced, telepathic race who lived a simple, almost primitive lifestyle. Deva Loka was also the planet to which the Mara fled, and arose every few generations to destroy everything. The Doctor helped the Kinda expel the Mara, although a portion of it hid in the mind of his companion, Tegan Jovanka. The proposed colonisation probably never happened.
