The TARDIS landed near Troy, whereupon the crew became involved with the Grecian attempts to break the siege of Troy. The siege of Troy had occurred when Helen, wife of the Greek Melaneus, eloped with Paris, Trojan son of King Priam. Vicki became involved with the Trojan prince Troilus, but the Doctor was forced into providing the Greeks with the inspiration for the wooden horse, which Agamemnon used to get his troops inside the city walls. As Troy fell, Steven Taylor was wounded and a fleeing Vicki instructed Katarina, a handmaiden to the prophetess Cassandra, to help him back to the TARDIS.
