A planet within the Milky Way, approximately sixty thousand light years from Earth. It was home to the Daemons, creatures that could shrink and grow at will. They used their advanced psionic sciences to propel the speed of evolution on other planets, treating the life they encountered as nothing more than laboratory experiments. They destroyed those races or planets they considered failures. A Daemon, Azal, was left on Earth and went into hibernation, only to be awoken by the Master. Knowing he was soon to die, Azal chose to pass his psionic power onto a responsible being, and chose the Doctor.
