A strain of crop spray that a greedy scientist was eager to get into full development. He bribed and later murdered the Government Minister's representative who had refused to give him manufacturing clearance when it was disclosed that the spray killed all insect life rather than just those which are harmful to crops. The TARDIS crew had been shrunk to about one inch in height and Barbara Wright became infected by DN6. The scientist was stopped when the Doctor heated up an aerosol can with a gas jet which exploded in the man's face, just as the police came to investigate.
