Inhabitants of a distant planet whose identities were lost after a nuclear accident. They posed as a bogus package tour operator, based at Gatwick Airport, kidnapping young people once their aircraft was in space and sending Chameleon duplicates back to Earth. They intended to keep the identities and repopulate their planet. The Doctor discovered their plan and let himself be taken to their orbiting spaceship, convincing them that what they were doing was wrong and offering to help find a solution to their problems. The Chameleons agreed, returning the captured humans to Earth, including Ben Jackson and Polly.
