One of the Three Who Rule upon an unnamed planet in E-Space, Aukon was directly responsible to their master, the Great Vampire, who he was bringing back to life. Originally Aukon was a human called Anthony O'Connor, the science officer aboard the spaceship Hydrax, which passed through a Charged Vacuum Emboitment. Aukon and the others were immortal for as long as they drank human blood from the local village and the Great Vampire lived. Aukon captured Romana, preparing to use her as a sacrifice and also tried to manipulate Adric into becoming his servant, The Chosen One. The Doctor managed to relaunch a scoutship from the Hydrax, disguised as the Three's castle, just as the Great Vampire awoke. The ship then crashed down, spearing the Vampire straight through the heart, killing it. With their flow of life energy gone, Aukon and the other two vampiric survivors of the Hydrax, Camilla and Zargo, rapidly aged to death. They turned to dust within seconds thus freeing the villagers from their reign of terror.
