alternative earth
There are a number of alternative or parallel Earths that the Doctor has been aware of. A future incarnation of the Doctor was known as Merlin on another alternate Earth. From there, the sorceress Morgaine attempted to invade 'real' Earth, with the Destroyer. The Daleks invaded Earth in an alternate future after World War Three. The Doctor showed Sarah Jane Smith an alternative 1980 as it would be if Sutekh was freed from the Black Pyramid.
